Born on the little sunny island of Singapore, I take every opportunity I have to go away, travel and experience the different cultures and lifestyles of people, taste the variety of food, and view the ever so different sceneries of the world. I always return with many happy unforgettable memories. 

During my wind-down moments in the evening, I light my candles, and with each different scent, it brings back the different happy moments of my travel. Sandalwood – those sandalwood-scented carved fans they have in Shanghai, China; Lavender reminds me of the late afternoon lunch my husband and I enjoyed on Nedlands Lavender Farm in Melbourne, Australia; Ocean Breeze never fails to remind me of our Ocean Road drive to the 12 Apostles in Melbourne, Australia, and also the beautiful sea-facing houses along the 17-mile drive and the “Lone Cypress” on Pebble Beach; Merlot always makes me smile as it reminds me of the incident when me and my sisters had a little too much wine tasting in Napa Valley, California; and of course Winter Pine excites me - my first snow-skiing lesson in Aspen, Colorado! 

Life is wonderful if one chooses to remember the happy moments and learn to discard the unpleasant ones. I find candles help me by invigorating my senses, stimulating my mind, and at the same time, relax my body and soul. Taking care of ourselves is so essential so that in return we can also learn to give, share, and love.
